Adverse reactions and contraindications: During delivery, it is contraindicated in cases of obvious cephalopelvic disproportion, umbilical cord presentation or prolapse, complete placenta previa, narrow pelvis, and strong uterine contractions. It should be used with caution in patients with placental abruption, heart disease, enlarged uterus, pregnant women over 35 years old, with a history of cesarean section, myomectomy, and breech delivery. Oxytocin can cause severe hypertension and even cerebral vascular rupture when used during sacral canal blockade. It cannot be injected in the same solution with norepinephrine. It is contraindicated with hydrolyzed protein.
