The general detection method of nitroethane is gas chromatography, and the traditional methods for determining benzaldehyde are gas chromatography, single wavelength ultraviolet absorption method and high performance liquid chromatography. As for the determination of MNS, only document [1] reported the detection of MNS by high performance liquid chromatography (C18 silica gel column, wavelength of 214nm, mobile phase of water and acetonitrile, 0 ~ 35 min, 10%→100%ACN volume fraction, the same below, flow rate of 1.0mL/min), and this document only detected the content of MNS, but did not detect related substances. Nitroethane and benzaldehyde are the synthetic raw materials of MNS, which will interfere with the purity detection of MNS products. However, at present, there is no relevant literature report on the simultaneous detection and separation of these three substances. The boiling point of MNS is relatively high, which is 263℃(1.01×105Pa), and it is easy to polymerize at high temperature.
