Application

White crystalline powder, odorless, 40-50 times sweeter than sucrose. Soluble in water (1g/5mL), slightly soluble in propylene glycol (1g/25mL), insoluble in ethanol, chloroform, benzene and ether. The Ph value of 10% aqueous solution is 6.5. It is non-hygroscopic, alkali-resistant, heat-resistant (decomposition temperature 28℃), and light-resistant.

Cyclamate is a commonly used non-nutritive artificial sweetener. It is not absorbed in the human body, does not generate heat, and does not cause caries. It tastes similar to sucrose and is often mixed with sodium saccharin (10:1) to mask the bitterness of sodium saccharin. It can be used in tangerine peel, plum, dried bayberry, and plum, with a maximum usage of 8.0g/kg; the maximum usage in candied fruit is 1.0g/kg; the maximum usage in pickles, sauces, prepared wines, beverages, popsicles, ice cream, popsicles, cakes, biscuits and bread is 0.65g/kg.
