Made from butyl bromide and sodium cyanide. Sodium cyanide is added with water and heated in a water bath to dissolve, then a certain amount of 95% industrial ethanol and butyl bromide are added and refluxed for 25-30 hours, cooled to room temperature, sodium bromide is filtered out, and the filtrate is fractionated using a high-efficiency fractionation column. The alcohol is distilled out at 78-85°C, and the 85-140°C fraction is collected and treated with ammonium chloride to separate it into two layers. The upper layer of liquid is taken and fractionated again, and the 138-141°C fraction is collected as the finished product.
